HVAC Duct Systems
& Retrofits
We design, fabricate, and install high-performance residential and light commercial sheet metal duct systems. From blueprint layouts for custom new builds to modifying legacy ductwork for modern heat pumps, we build systems that maximize airflow efficiency.

Sheet Metal Rough-Ins & Blueprint Layouts
Poor duct design throttles premium HVAC equipment. We partner with general contractors, custom home builders, and owner-builders to execute professional residential rough-ins. Working straight from your blueprints, we execute clean residential rough-ins, calculating precise trunk and branch sizing for balanced room-to-room airflow while minimizing static pressure drop and ensuring long-term equipment reliability. For airtight modern builds, heating lines are only half the strategy. Meeting new BC Step Code building codes requires mechanical air exchange. View our HRV & ERV Ventilation Systems guide to see how we integrate balanced ventilation into your layout.

Furnace-to-Heat Pump Duct Overhauls & Airflow Upgrades
Older homes across Vancouver Island often use restrictive, undersized, or poorly routed duct infrastructure built for outdated furnaces. When you switch to a modern heat pump, these old lines cause high static pressure, noisy air whistling, and large temperature imbalances between rooms. We diagnose and re-engineer older systems, replacing choked return air drops and restrictive plenums. By correcting these structural friction points, we can allow your new heat pump to operate quietly and efficiently without replacing your entire duct network.

Site-Specific Fittings, Plenums & Transitions
Standard pre-made duct fittings rarely fit the unique layout of a home perfectly. We custom-fabricate and install our own duct fittings and transitions to ensure proper airflow and clean installation quality. From custom plenums and takeoffs to precise transitions, offsets, and equipment connections, these site-specific modifications eliminate air restrictions and keep your heating and cooling systems operating at peak efficiency.

Heat Pump & Full Duct System Installation | Maple Bay, North Cowichan, BC
This comprehensive renovation project required replacing an old, inefficient heating infrastructure with a modern high-performance system. The existing framing presented tight structural limitations, meaning standard duct runs would choke velocity and create loud ambient airflow noise throughout the living spaces. We engineered, fabricated, and installed a completely sealed rigid duct network tightly integrated into the home's structure.
- Aerodynamics: Installed custom mechanical turning vanes within the main elbows to smoothly direct high-velocity air and eliminate resistance.
- Sound Management: Integrated acoustic insulation to mute turbulent air noise.
- System Balancing: Embedded manual control dampers, allowing for precise air balancing between duct trunks.
